The WIC12 Difference
IGNITING CURIOSITY
Students with a clearer idea of the path they wish to pursue in higher education will value our Pre-U program’s direct route to university. The balance of autonomy and personalized support offered at WIC12 helps students prepare for the demands of higher education.
Students are given opportunities to excel and lead with purpose in two pathways:
- Science/engineering
- Business/commerce
A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO LEARNING & PERSONAL SUCCESS
WIC12 takes a holistic approach to learning and personal success. To deepen students’ academic and experiential learning, WIC12 offers extra-curricular programming in the performing arts, athletics, and cultural activities to complement the core courses in their chosen pathway and to provide students with an enriching educational experience.
These extra-curricular activities help students to foster relationships, develop leadership skills, and explore their interests inside and outside the classroom.
CREATING OPPORTUNITIES,
REALIZING POTENTIAL
WIC12 emphasizes experiential learning through internships, research projects, service learning projects, community-based initiatives, class outings, outdoor education trips, and optional international excursions to complement high-quality academic programming.
These hands-on learning opportunities and real-world applications also focus on leadership development, allowing students to cultivate their leadership skills through mentorship, team-building activities, and leadership training.
BUILDING A BRIDGE TO THE FUTURE
WIC12 prepares students for university in Quebec and beyond by providing resources and guidance on university applications, standardized testing, financial aid and scholarships, and facilitated university campus tours in the autumn term (Sept-Oct-Nov).
The Pre-U program offers personalized experiences, such as project-based learning and mentoring, to meet each student’s individual needs and interests and help them make the right choices for their future academic and professional goals.
